Where is the outrage?

It is going to take massive outrage by Google and Yahoo as well as the other big tech companies to get ant type of reform.  The fact that the evil NSA has spied on us slaves of Gitmo Nation is not enough.  The biggest and brightest at Google MUST demand change now!  Like it or not, they have the resources(lawyers) to demand action from the disgusting Obama administration. I do believe that Larry Page would be quite pissed off to know that Kaiser Alexander is reading his email, and recording his phone conversations.

It is quite sad that the protests mean almost nothing, and its going to take the mega corps anger to get anything done.  What has gone under reported is the fact that all the spying done by the NSA on the pretext of "keeping us safe from terror" is the biggest line of bullshit I have ever seen.  The spying is for industrial espionage and trying to make a dollar.  There is no reason to tap the foreign leaders phones other than to gain the edge in what foreign corporations are up to, what deals are being made, and what big government contracts are being bid on. Its just that simple.

This sums it up, Nicely!!

Here is an article about McDonald's telling its employees to sign up for food stamps.  The article is correct, it is not wrong to tell your employees to get a second job, or tell them to sign up for food stamps, it is ALSO not wrong for a huge mega corporation that makes billions in profits to pay its employees a living wage. There is one very simple solution, just don't go to McDonald's. Its that simple. The only way to let them know that you object to their business practices is to not give them your money.

How come we as a people cannot see that this is the inherent problem with our society today?  How come we just go along with the program, never questioning the motives of these mega corporations?  When are we going to get pissed off? Whew are we going to demand more?  There I go again...

The Ocean is Broken

This is the one of the saddest and disheartening articles I have ever read.  I have seen "Addicted to Plastic" and "Bag It", those films deal with all the plastic and trash in the ocean. We are destroying the planet ever so slowly.  This hit me hard.

If you love "Bat Out of Hell" Watch this...

I grew up with Meatloaf and "Bat Out of Hell". It was the anthem in our dorm in college. I just came across this making of video. Love it.

This is how they do it...Wipe that Smirk off your face...

With that smug, condescending smirk on her face, Diane Sawyer in the fist 6 seconds makes fun of everyone who believes in the unexplained possibility of UFO's.  The only thing I know for sure, is that we don't know for sure.

If you ask historian and author Richard Dolan, he makes a good argument for their existence.  This "news" story is done by every network, national and regional.  Typically the two anchors make some dumb reference to the X-Files, make a joke about someones eyesight, the director cues the creepy or funny background music, then they throw the story to the weatherman, like he has a fucking clue.  This is what the mainstream media has been doing with possible sightings for the past 50 years.  There will be a sighting that will wake the people of the world up, and hopefully, get the truth from the governments of the world.  I am not holding my breath, but, when I hear Richard Dolan talk, I do think there is hope.

Just One of Those Days, Weeks, Months....

Have you ever had just one of those days when nothing seems to go right?  That has been Gitmo Gil's life for the past 3 weeks.  I feel like I am the Bizarro world, where the forces of evil and all wrongness are conspiring against me.  I do believe in Karma, and I have tried to do the right things, these days must pass soon. So without further ado, just a few vids with people I can relate to.
I promise I will do the complete write up, with the details, at a further time.

The Mafia, The CIA and Bush, Explosive stuff!!!

Good Evening, I have been doing research on some interesting topics. I came across this video, and I am blown away.  Anyone with a casual knowledge of politics and crime in the last 30 years, will know many of the names involved.  This just shows how the connected people at the top of the food chain stay that way. This is some explosive stuff here. Peter Brewton does a great job explaining the major crimes being committed and how they did it.  I am talking Iran-Contra, the failed savings and loans crimes, Iraq, the drug cartels and of course the CIA. Enjoy, I did.

Time Travel Experiment #1 - Which Day?

If you could go back in time to one specific day and time, which would it be?  A thought provoking idea, many, many possibilities...

The obvious day for me would be November 22, 1963, and lets say 6:am. To have to the chance to chronicle the assassination or even stop the murder of the President would be a chance of a lifetime.  How would you stop it? Would you try to stop it?

How would you warn the President that his murder will happen? You would sound like a loon, and then, when it did happen, the cuffs would be on you in a heartbeat. What could you do? You only have 6 hours or so to think of something. No Cell phone, no internet, what could you do?

  • Phone in a death threat?
  • Create a disturbance along the motorcade route?
  • Stop the Presidents plane from taking off or landing?
  • Create a false flag event somewhere else?
  • Shoot and kill the the men who shot JFK.
  • Get the police to go to the Grassy Knoll before the motorcade gets there?
  • Hang a banner on the overpass in Dealy Plaza and letting the conspirators know that the jig is up?
Or, do you go there and get a first hand account of the assassination?  The opportunity to witness the most talked about murder in history would be something most people would sign up for in a second.

But, say you did go back, and for the sake of the conversation you could stop the assassination.
What would the ramifications be of that intervening?  Would you exist?  What if your parents got together at a candle light vigil for the slain President. If that vigil never happened, the possibilities spin out of control.  You would have to be almost invisible as a bystander to history. The what ifs are almost too much to comprehend.  Take a hit of acid and ponder the future history.

Say the assassination never happened. The string on history on your timeline is now eliminated.  Kennedy lives, No LBJ, Vietnam does not happen, the CIA is gone, I really do not see a downside to those those events not happening.  But like anything else, there is always a downside, and twisted version of events that spiral in their own galaxy of time. I think that if Kennedy lived, not everything would be perfect, but I do believe it would be better. What many people have no idea about is the fact that for a year before he was killed, JFK and Nikita Khrushchev had been exchanging private letters.  The previous year, both the U.S. and the U.S.S.R. had brought the world to the brink of nuclear war.  They both vowed that it would never happen again.  To that end, they both started writing personal letters to each other, and nobody knew about it, except for the limited and trusted couriers. This is all documented in the amazing book "JFK and the Unspeakable".  What a different world it would be if there was not that ever present threat from both super powers. The vast amount of money spent on the military and the development of nuclear weapons and other projects in the massive "military industrial complex" could be siphoned into social programs, infrastructure, investment in business, and in people, instead of figuring out how to best kill and destroy.. That money could have been spent on finding other sources of energy, solar energy, green technology, the list is endless.

That is just from going back to one specific day.  Who knows, maybe our time now, is the past for a future that has already been written,, and there are time jumpers who are attempting to right the incredible wrongs that our government and others are totally screwing up today. Just a thought.

Nothing to See Here.... Look at That! ---Banksters ROB US BLIND

Once again the banksters and politicians are trying to screw the common blue collar worker bee out of their pensions. They start throwing all these numbers at a distracted public, and try to fit more money in their pockets. Folks, when are we going to wake up and stop this bullshite? When is enough, enough? This interview is so telling as to what schemes these bastard will do to squeeze every penny they can out of your wallet.  Its California today, your community next.  The pure evil Koch brothers are once again looking to line their pockets with our money. There are times that I literally shake my head in wonder at what the people in the country are doing. Really, are the Kardashian's that important? Is American Idol so damn necessary?  These distractions are meant to keep the focus off important issues, and the mainstream media just rolls along. It is frikin sickening.

Really Tucker, Really?

The fact that Fox News fell for a story written by The Onion News, does not surprise me one bit. It is not the first time, nor will it be the last.

But, to hear Tucker Carlson make the following statement, "the government is acting as your enemy, has this ever happened before?"

Tucker, when was the last time that the government has not acted like our enemy?  We can go back in history and find instances of the feds treating the citizenry as enemy combatants in all places in society.  How about the FBI taking direction from Wall Street bankers to spy, intimidate, and assassinate members of the Occupy movement?

How about the abuse of powers by the IRS for investigating minorities, and the middle class because they are less likely to hire expensive lawyers and accountants?

How about instilling fear and intimidation for protesting against those abuses?

How about the NSA treating all citizens as enemies which has been well documented my many reported and writers including this awesome article by John C. Dvorak.

Tucker, wake the hell up, this has been going on for quite some time, maybe, just maybe this is the first time the government has treated people like yourself as the enemy?

Hit it Frank...Fly Me to the Moon....

Good Evening all,
I'm going to go off the rails tonight. I am going to write about the Moon. I can clearly recall being a child of eight, up in New Hampshire on July 20, 1969. That day is quite clear to me, you see, the day before is my birthday. I can recall sitting with my sister and grandmother and watching them walk on moon for the first time.  I never doubted that for almost the next 42 years. Until I met my brother.

I knew of his existence, but we had never really talked and gotten to know each other.  In the last few years, knowing Gitmo Glen, has been one of the most fun and interesting parts of my life.  We share so much in common it is uncanny. There was one thing that we vehemently disagreed on, that was the fact that we had landed on the moon.  When I met Glen, there was not a doubt in my mind.  I should share this with you, Glen is not an uneducated man, he has a Masters Degree in History, is very bright, and like me, he hates to be wrong, about anything. We debated the "Moon Hoax" theory on many a phone call, and in person.  We do live roughly 983 miles apart. I would tell him, "you are crazy, you wacky conspiracy theorist" and he would hail the insults right back at me, it was healthy debate.

I cannot really determine the exact time, but I can tell you I was at work one night, and I had seen and read a few things that really troubled me about our landing on the moon.  I had always wondered since I was a kid, how come we were in such a hurry to get there, but we have not gone back for almost 40 years? It is an interesting question. As I soon found out, a very complex question.  I started doing some research, looking at some "fake" videos on YouTube, trying to weed through the chafe to find the nuggets of gold.  It can be quite tiring on the eyes and on the spirit.  Now I could include all sorts of links, and videos here, but I am not going to do that. I do not want to dissuade you, dear reader, I want you to be clear in your head, if you are so inclined, I would invite you to go down the same rabbit hole I did, and continue to go down from time to time.

Then there was this very strange quote that came from a NASA official a few weeks, maybe a month ago. I heard this on the NoAgenda podcast, and it made Adam Curry and John C. Dvorak wonder too.  The quote was in reference to the Chinese, who are suppose to launch their own mission to the moon.  The NASA official said in reference to us going back to the moon now, if the Chinese get there before we do "we will have our Sputnik moment".  Now, many of you might not be aware of what that is in reference to.  The Russians launched the first satellite in Orbit on October 4, 1957.  They were the country to launch a satellite, and that was our "Sputnik moment", meaning, they did it first.  Why would this NASA official say that about the Chinese getting to the moon in the next few years?

The one thing about YouTube and any video posted there, there is always someone who decries "fake" withing the first few comments.  It does not matter if the topic is the moon, UFO, NSA IRS,JFK,CIA, you get the idea.  What makes that person an expert? Nothing as far as I can tell, but they are always there.  On the topic of UFOs for instance, there are thousands of fake vids posted every day. I am well aware of that, but there has been one thing that has always bothered me about the UFO topic.  I will explain it this way, this it my own twisted logic, but it works for me.  For something that is supposed to be a "fantasy" a "hoax" a "red herring" our government has spent and continues to spend billions of dollars to either keep the hoax alive, or try to kill it. I am talking about Project Blue Book, Project Sign, just to name two.  If there was absolutely nothing to see here, and all the UFO crazies were just that, crazy, the government would not have to say a thing, it would fade away. Its that simple. It does appear to me that over the last 65-70 years there are some credible reports that have not been discounted. If you pick up "UFO" by Leslie Kean, you might be surprised yourself.

Now, back to our moon. I will admit grudgingly, I have changed my mind on the topic of whether we have been there like NASA says we have.  What I have learned as fact over the years is this. In the mainstream media and news outlets, NASA was always this civilian space agency that was run by respected scientists.  That is not true. Surprised? I was. NASA's charter is under the Department of Defense. I found out that the moon rocks that were given as a gift from the Apollo 11 astronauts to the Dutch were fake.  I was shocked to say the least. When the gift was given, they were supposed to go right into a museum.  But guess what? Those darn Dutch decided to test them, and as the story goes, they were from meteorites that fell in Antarctica.  The fact that  Werner Van Braun went to Antarctica in 1968 to collect meteorite samples came as a surprise to me too. Now, those alone, probably do not mean much, but, if everything that NASA told/tells us is the truth, then there should not be one thing out of the ordinary in any picture, story, video, anything.

Then there is this very strange occurrence. This goes into the strange coincidence pile. James Webb oversaw NASA starting in 1961 and saw the whole history unfold before him. He was so proud of his accomplishments that he resigned right before the first manned launch. That makes no sense at all. Can you imagine, you have seen the birth of NASA, gone through all the good times, the not so good times, and then on the precipice of your greatest accomplishment, you want to spend more time with your family?  That just does not make sense.

Then you have story of Gus Grissom. You can look this up for yourself, his family is firmly convinced that he was murdered in the Apollo 1 capsule that burned on the launchpad.  His widow and kids are convinced that he was killed because he would not "play ball" so to speak, and he had to be silenced.  Please, do your own research into this. It is very troubling, to say the least.

Then there is this simple observation that when given a little research it gives me pause.  All during the 60's we were told that we could not let the Russians beat us to the moon. Remember this was the "cold war" after all.  The big bad Russians had launched Sputnik, the first dog, and Yuri Gagarin.  After every "first" that Russians did, we countered with our own, Explorer I, and eventually Alan Shepard. I add that story because something has always bothered me about those darn Russians.  How come they did not go to the moon?  They spent Billions of Rubles to develop their space program.

 Because we were first?

That makes no sense. Until after doing some research, and you have to weigh the sources and the history, but I read and heard a few stories about the Russians. One of them is that they discovered like we did, the Van Allen Radiation Belt that circles the Earth, and that any human beings in a capsule, would get a lethal dose of radiation. Now, whether we discovered a magic material that would shield the astronauts and did not share it with them, this might makes sense.

The other problem with a hoax theory is this. If the Russians knew that there was no way to get through the Van Allen Radiation Belt, then how come they did not expose us as liars? Great question. Possible answer, Skylab. Look it up. We partnered with those hates Russians, gave them money and technology. Interesting....

I started to watch some of the "official" NASA moon walk videos, and read some interesting books on the subject.  One author, Mike Bara, has some very solid evidence about some funny business going on.  He also has first hand evidence from NASA employee Ken Johnson who told him of NASA directors ordering the destruction of over 40,000 pictures and negatives of pics from the moon.  Please remember two things here, we the people paid for those photos and negatives, and NASA is run by the Defense Department.

Here is where the cognitive dissonance kicks in, how can there be the destruction of 40,000 pics and negatives, if we never went there?  Like I said earlier, "like NASA says we have", I do think that we have gone there, but we have not been told the whole story accurately.  There are so many anomalies about the NASA missions to the moon, far to many for me to get into right now, maybe a later post, when I go down the rabbit hole again.

I will end this post with a few observations and questions for you to ponder.

  1. If you believe everything the government says, then we have not been told one lie from NASA
  2. If you have ever doubted the government, (JFK assassination, Vietnam, Watergate, WTC 7,  Iraq, Wall Street Bailout, the list is endless) then you should look into this more closely.
  3. Why would NASA lie to us?
  4. Why would men who walked on the moon get violently ill, nervous, when asked "how it felt to walk on the moon"  If you read anything about Buzz Aldrin, this is most disconcerting. Also, Edgar Mitchell has a different answer, he cannot remember.
  5. If you go an watch the Apollo 11 post mission press conference, just look at their faces, there is definitely something they are not telling us. This press conference was after the 3 week quarantine period.  Which lead back to #2.
  6. Why would the Chinese mission to the Moon give us another "Sputnik moment?"
This can be a very time consuming project and also quite interesting.  Am I convinced that we never went to the moon?, sorry Gitmo Glen, I am not.  Am I convinced that we have been told the truth about the moon, and the missions that went there? Not at all. There is more to our moon than meets the eye.. Hit it Frank....

Cutting the Cord? Try it, you might like it...

I have not been a cable TV subscriber for almost 5 years now. I will say with 99% surety that I will never be a cable television subscriber again. It is a personal choice, it is not for everyone. If you upset with paying anywhere from $75-$150 a month for the privilege of cable, then cutting the cord might be for you. There are so many options nowadays for alternate television viewing, you would be doing a disservice if you at least did not look into it.  I am going to place a link here that will give you a starter guide to cord cutting, and all the options.

I personally use a combination of a Roku device, a laptop with an HDMI port, and thats it. No remote to rent monthly, no cable box to rent monthly.
The Roku box is the coolest thing ever... ok, I might be exaggerating a bit, but it is pretty darn sweet.  I get many channels, Netflix, Popcorn, Pandora, The BBC, and others. I get my favorite pod casts, both video and audio, radio stations, all through this box, about the size of a hockey puck. And yes, for full disclosure, you can buy a roku through my site on the link at left. I will add, I will never try to sell anything on my blog here, that I do not believe in. That includes books, movies, any electronics. Believe me, I dont make a lot if you get something through my site to Amazon. Just a few sheckles.

My monthly cost for all my entertainment is $31.87 give or take a penny.  $21 for Internet, $8 for Netflix and about $1.87 for an Amazon Prime account I split with my son.  Believe me, I am never at a loss for entertainment. The only thing I sort of miss a little, is football on Sunday.  Even for that there is a free channel too.

I have been at many friends houses and either my friend or their kids will go through all the channels and say "there's nothing on". And they are only paying $180 month for the "Triple Play", and they don't even use the phone line, except to get telemarketing calls.  Their Internet connection is the one they use, and the cable is so loaded with crap nowadays, they are literally throwing $120 a month out the window.  Now I will not say that cable does not have some good things, they do, football.

There are literally thousands of channels on Roku you can subscribe to, and the list is very comprehensive.  If you have followed my blog at all, you know that I am not a fan of the American mainstream media, they have sold out, its that simple. The main thrust of the news networks is to entertain the people. Once the news divisions of the networks had to make money, they sold out.  How can a network do any "hard" news on Monsanto for instance, when Monsanto pays the bill for advertising?  Don't believe me, try watching Foxnews, or MSNBC, or if you want to laugh real hard, CNN. New has become infotainment.  It is a joke, I don't care one bit about the Kardashian's or who slept with who.  Now granted, the BBC and Russia Today are not 100% news either, but it is better than the American crap. I usually get my news from the internet.

I have lists of roku channels to check out, and the user groups always have great suggestions for channels.  Like I said, It is not for everyone. If you enjoy the endless parade of commercials you see on television, then the Roku is not for you.  I am guilty of finding a little gem of a show in Netflix, and watching every episode, right in a row, with no commercials, ITS AWESOME.  The other night I watched the last episode of Breaking Bad on AMC in its scheduled time, that was the first time I ever did that. I do not miss commercials one bit.

But I must admit, having a laptop with an HDMI port is almost as nice.  If you did not know it, there are thousands of full length movies on Youtube, yep, thousands. I am a documentary freak, and Youtube and Vimeo are so great at having those at your fingertips. Just plug in the HDMI cable, and your laptop is another television.

I laughed like hell the other day, I was at a friends home, and there was a commercial for some cable network and their box had the capability to record "5 channels at a time". Can anyone tell me, at anytime, are there 5 good shows on at the same time? Really.. Do we as people need this? I guess so. Not me.

I give the Roku a big thumbs up. It might not be for you as an alternative, but as an add on, you would never be at a loss to find any kind of programming. Whether its Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime, or the hundreds of other channels, you should at least check it out. Let me know your experience with a Roku. I will post your comments.

Gitmo Gil.

Bike Lane, What Bike Lane?

You Cannot Make This Up!!! WTF?- UPDATE- NASA on OCTOBER 6TH

On November 13, 2013 NASA is going to make an announcement "The biggest discovery that will shake the Earth, nothing will ever be the same"

And coincidentally FEMA is planning a nationwide power grid shutdown and terror drill on the same day, November 13, 2013, the drill will go on for 3 days.

Now, call me crazy, but I have this sneaking suspicion that many things could happen.  I do not believe for one second that this is just some random coincidence.  If there are forces that want to make everyone think some evil forces are at work, then they have done a good job at it.

What announcement could NASA make that will "be the biggest discovery, that will shake the Earth?"  Please remember that NASA functions under the Department of Defense.

Any ideas ? How about this, NASA admits that we never went to the moon?  How about Disclosure?  How about life on the moon?

I just saw that this big announcement is happening on October 6, 2013. WTF folks...

What Could Possibly Go Wrong?

What could possibly go wrong?  The planned "terror drill" of the national electrical grid scheduled in November, has this very ominous feel about it.  What could and will happen is a whole different matter. I am actually quite concerned about this drill.  It seems that whenever a drill is planned, something always seems to happen, and not in a good way.

This might be politically incorrect for me to say, but I do believe that the police should be held to a much higher standard.  They have sworn an oath to protect and serve.  What makes a cop go bad?  What makes a cop plant evidence?  When did we become the enemy?  Go ahead and do a search for police abuse on youtube. You can go down a rabbit hole very deep, and if you have any feeling of compassion, you will be offended when you see just how bad some of these cops treat innocent people.

Case in point here. James Simmons was arrested for a crime he did not commit. The officer in question admits to being dishonest. When you read the story in the link, you might become quite angry.  I know its one man, but it does point to a much larger problem with dishonest police officers. Let me ask you this, do you think that its just been recently that police have been abusing people, making false arrests, beating the crap out of suspects because we all have cameras on our phones?  This has been going on longer than time.  Police corruption is the worst kind of crime.  They should be held to a higher standard.  If they abuse the system, lie under oath, plant evidence, beat suspects senseless, then they should all be in jail.

Murder on a Sunday Morning is an Academy Award winning documentary.  In this case, every police office lied under oath.  Every police officer in this case should be in jail forever, for what they did to this poor kid.

A blockbuster new report form the London School of Economics and Political Science has proven without a doubt that pirating media content not only does not result in the loss of money from Hollywood, it actually proves the exact opposite. I can  help prove that on a smaller scale. You see, a few years ago, I obtained a few songs sort of illegally by The Barenaked Ladies. I listened to them, loved the music, and in the ensuing months I went and bought every one of their albums LEGALLY.

I have had the same experience with movies also. Some copies I have received through somewhat shady circumstances, have been poor copies, and then I went out to buy them legally.  If this is how it works in my world, I am sure that it works that way for you also.

On another note, Just months after Dr. Ben Carson gave a speech questioning the moral decline of America, he was targeted by the IRS. Hmmmmm, sounds like when you question power, power bites back.

How Long? Part 4 In an ongoing conversation, sort of....

I saw a tweet with an interesting question. It is one that I do not ask my self often, but I have wondered at times what the answer is.

I will pose it to you readers of my little blog. If you lost your job, how long until you would be homeless?

Could you rely on family to help you out? How long would that support last? Some people do not have that support system in place to help them out.  I pass homeless people every day, I see the rampant unemployment.

Have you looked at the Help Wanted section of your local paper lately? I can clearly remember pages and pages of job listings 20 years ago. As of last Sunday, there were 5 columns of job listings. Yes, you read that right, 5 columns. You are lucky if you are looking for a job as a driver, sales, or waitress work. There is nothing wrong with those jobs, they are always there, its just lately, that's all there is.

So, how long could you afford to live in your home, apartment, condo, if you lost your job?
\
How long before you too would be at a soup kitchen?

How long until the unemployment ran out, if you were lucky to get that?

Want to help out the homeless?

There are many people in the country going through a hard time.  Many of these people have been laid off from their jobs not because their business lost money. Many were laid off due to the fact that lay off's would raise a stock price 1 share price.  Greed is a powerful motivator, and as the Occupy Movement proved, their are some real greedy bastards in this country who would rather lay off 5,000 people, than get a little less profit. That is true evil in my book. I read in an article a little while ago, that capitalism isn't paying your employees the lowest possible wage. Sadly, not many people subscribe to that theory.

I am feeling very ambivalent today.  It appears that what I have been writing about is correct. The Obscene Wealth Inequality in the US is just that, OBSCENE.  Here is a link from a tweet I saw this morning. This should make your skin crawl, and it proves that the documentary "Walmart, the high cost of low living" paints a very accurate picture.

The World According to Monsanto

A must watch. Informative and chilling. If you want to know one corporation who has many Senators and Congressmen in their pocket, then you want to see this. If you want to keep your head in the sand, then move along, this is not the documentary you are looking for.

The world According to Monsanto.

$300 for a Blogging License... WTF??? and Treadmill Sniper.

Wow, Gitmo Nation is closing it borders to anyone critical the NSA illegal domestic spying programs.  LLija Trojanow was blocked from entering US of Gitmo, because he has written critical stories about the NSA. Looks like the NSA cant take the bad press, and this is their way of getting back. What a bunch of p*****s.

I wonder when they will start rounding up all their adversaries. That would include all citizens of Gitmo Nation, since they consider all of us their adversaries. Yes, kids, we are the enemy, because most of us do not want the NSA or any police state operation snooping into our private affairs. Or, do you want to lay down to the police state?  If you do, I feel sorry for you. This is not what our founders wanted for their dream.

Just wait folks, soon, a drone will be flying over all our heads, and what will it do to protect us, nothing. It will be there to scare and intimidate us.  Oh, I'm wrong, sorry ... The drones are already here, without warrants, or approval from anyone.

I will think ahead a bit here. It will not be long until the Govt will require all of us who write these little blogs to get a license.  Just a feeling. On that little feeling, I did a search, and sure as shit, the city of Brotherly Love, Philadelphia sent letters to bloggers requiring them to pay a $300 annual fee. It will not be long until all the states cash in on that one. It will be just one more slave tax to raise money that will disappear into the pockets of politicians.

Think about all the taxes you pay. If you are lucky enough to still have a job, you get taxed on your income, then there is the Social Secutity Tax. So you get your check, then when you pay for your phone, you get taxed, electric bill tax, water bill tax, gas bill tax, cable tv tax, trash tax, property tax, car tax, do you put gas in your car? more taxes, cigarette tax, alcohol tax, in the state of Gitmo East our gas tax is 50 cents a gallon, and that is not the highest in the land of Gitmo.  I am well aware that we must pay for some things, but my god, the taxation is out of control. The only tax I can remember ever being repealed, and this was repealed fast, was the 3 cent tax on newspapers about 20 years ago.  The people of Gitmo East just stopped buying the newspaper, message sent. That tax was quickly repealed. When are we as a people going to stand up, and do something?

When I say it, its "crackpot time, when Seymour Hersh says it, THIS IS GOING TO BE BIG NEWS.

Good Afternoon members of Gitmo Nation. I just read an incredible interview with Pulitzer Prize winning investigative journalist Seymour Hersh.  He says what we all have known, The White Housesscript about the killing of Osama Bin Laden was complete bullshit.

This is just the beginning hopefully of the end for the liars and thieves that roam the streets of  Washington DC.  Hersh also points out quite correctly that the mainstream media must go also, they do not report the truth, they carry the water of the White House.  This is a powerful interview with one of the most respected journalists of any time.

Part 3 of ongoing conversation-If you could wave a magic wand?

I saw a tweet the other day, and it posed the following question, If you could wave a magic wand and make one problem disappear, what would that be?

It made me really think hard, and boy, did my brain hurt...LOL.. I digress.

I put me in that philosophical mood, and expand my horizons well beyond their normal limits. I thought about how I see all the stuffed shirts on television and in the congress expound on this country being "exceptional".  I think I would rather live in a country where 30-40 million kids do not go to sleep hungry every night.  In the city of Dallas, 25% of the kids have "food insecurity" Yep, things are bigger in Texas!!!
That got me to thinking about how that one statistic can effect every facet of life. If you are chronically food challenged( how is that for a pc term?)  If you are child in the "richest nation in the world" and 25 to 30% of your kids are hungry, THATS A BIG FUCKING PROBLEM. Lets move on from children to adults.  In the last year, food banks, soup kitchens saw the biggest rise in membership in their history.. How pathetic is that?

In 2012, there were 46.5 Million people living below the poverty line. Now when you factor in the shrinking middle class, and many are sliding to the poverty side, it just makes sense that childhood hunger is a huge problem. So there, I would wave the magic wand and make hunger in this country disappear. Whew, problem solved.  Except it will never go away.  I will add the caveat, that I am aware that there are some people who choose to walk the streets, not look for housing, not look for work, but you and I both know that number is very small.

We are in serious trouble when there are over 100 million people on some sort of food assistance.

That is the sort of staggering number that does a few things. That shocking number is something that those in power, well, it make them want to distract you from it. Plain and simple. It makes problems in Syria appear much worse than they are, because if you started to look at hunger, food stamps, homeless people, poverty in this "exceptional" country, then those who rule, start to squirm a bit. Go ahead, ask your congressman or senator about the rampant poverty and hunger, see how long it takes them to get back to you. On the same day you send them that letter, send one about a possible campaign donation. Guess which one comes back first? Just Saying.

One of the so called "saviors" to this country is the deal with the devil that many communities made, and now wish they didn't. Go ahead and build that Walmart wherever you want. Then watch as good ole Main St., USA goes away. Go ahead and try to prove me wrong. But watch this first.

Is Walmart the only problem, hell no, but does it contribute the the decline of  many small towns in America, hell yes.  Let me tell you a story. I am 52. When I was a kid in the 60's and 70's, I grew up in a house with 3 sisters and a brother. My mom, was a stay at home mom, and my dad was a firefighter. We lived a good life. White collar? nope. Barely getting by? nope. We were in the middle. How many one person breadwinner families do you know of today? When I was a kid, that's pretty much the deal all around. My dads friends were other firefighters and policemen. We would visit all the time, they all had stay at home moms. Whats Changed?  Where to begin... And that sums up many things, the cost of living in this "exceptional" country has skyrocket, taxes are through the roof, and the salaries are below what they were in the 1970's. You think I'm making this up? HUH!!!! This will get your blood boiling

I am well aware that the USA is good, but the pedestal its was once on, is not there anymore. That's just a fact.. I remember seeing this clip a few years ago, and what a shitstorm it raised, but when you listen, I mean, really listen, it is very sobering.

Folks, I really wished I could wave the magic wand, and make childhood hunger go away, nothing would make me happier. But its a systemic problem.  If you want to see a possible solution, or I should say, a different view of our economy. This video will blow you away.

Nick Hanauer explains how the "trickle down economics" is the biggest hoax ever to be perpetuated on the American public.  If the whole trickle down thing is such a great idea, how come we are at an all time high unemployment? Why are 30 million kids hungry every day?

I traveled to Reno, Nevada last year. I went into this casino, and found a diner. I sat next to this older couple and we started talking.  The woman told me that they moved to Reno for their retirement. She was active at her church, and during the last year, the soup kitchen at the church could not feed everyone in need. She was heartbroken telling this story to a traveler, and her husband just nodded in agreement to what she was saying.  The neighborhood they lived in had over 60% of the homes foreclosed on. I really became more focused on my way back east. It was a long ride, but as I drove through New Mexico, Texas, Missouri, South Dakota, I saw what she was talking about. I saw so many small towns on the brink of collapse, it was a sobering trip. Go ahead and travel between the big cities on the secondary roads, and you will see what I am writing about.  It became almost routine to see the closed down factories, the main street, where most of the stores are closed. Then the few small family farms on the outskirts, that are hanging on by a thread.  I would like to think that we as a country are going to turn the corner. But first we have to see the corner.

When I talk about these issues with co-workers, friends and family, there is lively debate on many topics, but there is one common thread that always seems to come to the forefront.  We must take care of our own. How is it possible that we can rebuild these countries in the Middle East, and we cannot afford schools, teachers, firefighters, fixing the roads, bridges, you get the point.  It can be a bit demoralizing to see all these things being built a half a world away, while we slowly rot here.

But, But, We Can't Shut Down the NSA- Absurdity Reigns

Yea, Not only was Edward Snowden right, he was understating just how "snooping" was going on. Isn't that an interesting word, snooping.  Let go to the book of knowledge:

Snooping-To pry into the affairs of others, especially by prowling about.
Spying- One who secretly keeps watch on another or others.

The word snooping has been used quite frequently by the mainstream media in relation to what the NSA has been doing to us.  They are tying together chains of social Internet interactions, with real world relationships.  William Binney, a whistle blower from a few years ago warned us about this.  The big money is for the coding that can go and data mine all this information quickly and correctly.  That is why the phrase "I have nothing to hide" is ever so important. Because at some point everyone will have something they want to hide, and will never know where this ties that bind them to some crime or sordid affair can come from.

Thanks to Facebook and Twitter, the NSA knows just about everything.

But Wait, the government theater of the absurd really just started today. Is the NSA shutdown? I think not, as a matter of fact that brand spanking new SPYING CENTER IN UTAH going full bore, spying on the NSA's adversaries, which, if you are not aware is us.  That right, keep on spying on us slaves of Gitmo Nation.

In the real absurd news of government shutdowns today, the White House website has this delightful message posted on the contact page.

The hero of the day award goes to Jamie Oliver, who proved in court that McDonald's burgers are not fit for human consumption.
